Faulty brakes are dangerous to drive with and wear down your rotors, tires, and other parts of the brake system. Your brakes should be serviced every 20,000 miles and replaced every 50,000 miles to keep them in good shape and avoid damage or disaster.

• You have to press the pedal harder in order to stop

• There is play in the brake pedal

• The brakes squeal

• The car drifts as you brake

• The wheel wobbles when you brake

• You smell smoke or see smoke while braking
